The portfolio, which comprises shopping centres in Dungarvan, Thurles, Cashel, Mullingar and Navan, was initially marketed with a €50m asking price. Bannon and Lisney acted for Nama; CBRE advised Davy.
BL swipes Visa Europe’s HQ
British Land has completed its £210m purchase of Visa Europe’s Paddington HQ, as tipped by Estates Gazette. The 195,000 sq ft block at 1 Sheldon Square, W2, rises to nine storeys. The deal completes British Land’s ownership of the Paddington Central estate. Savills advised vendor Employees Provident Fund; JLL acted for British Land.
Kames swarms in for Hive
Argent has sold the Hive in Manchester’s Northern Quarter to Kames Capital for £17m – a 6.75% yield. The 80,000 sq ft building at 47 Lever Street is let to tenants including Arts Council England and 5plus Architects. Commercial Properties acted for Argent; JLL represented Kames.
Dunedin buys Cardiff park
Charnwood Group has sold the freehold of Charnwood Court, Parc Nantgarw, Cardiff, for £3.8m to Dunedin – a 9.85% net initial yield. The business park comprises seven, two-storey units totalling 35,114 sq ft. Savills represented Charnwood; JLL advised Dunedin.
Boultbee buys Manchester block
Boultbee Brooks Real Estate has purchased the vacant St James’s Court at 24-30 Brown Street in Manchester from HIMOR Group for £6.5m. The 38,000 sq ft office building, arranged over five floors, is a large refurbishment opportunity. Aurum Real Estate advised Boultbee; OBI Property and CBRE acted for HIMOR.
