Debenhams are to occupy a 90,000-sq ft store in John Laing Developments’ Castle Court shopping scheme in Belfast. The unit will be their first store in Northern Ireland.
Explaining the decision, Debenhams’ managing director, Graham White, said that the retailers recognised Belfast as an excellent trading opportunity and that the Castle Court development offered them an “exclusive entry to the market”.
The scheme will comprise 325,000 sq ft of shopping, a food galleria and parking for 1,900 cars. Completion is due next spring.
Joint letting agents are Bernard Thorpe & Partners and Osborne King & Megran.
