Delancey and Barwood Developments’ joint venture db Symmetry has acquired a 721,000 sq ft development opportunity in Nottinghamshire.
The 48-acre site at junction 34 of the A1 has been bought from Rossington Blyth and has consent for a new distribution park, which will be named Symmetry Park.
The purchase is part of a push into northern markets by db Symmetry. The company was formed in January when Delancey bought a 60% stake in Barwood, which has a landbank of around 1,300 acres.
Andrew Dickman, director at db symmetry, said: “The scale and superb connectivity makes this a truly recognisable logistics location, which we believe will generate excellent demand. This site provides db symmetry with its first major project east of the Pennines although we look forward to further increasing the number of projects in this region in the near future.”
Savills advised the purchaser; Dove Haigh Phillips advised Rossington Blyth. Both agents have been appointed as letting advisers.
