Sark Estate Management representative Kevin Delaney is due to return to the island this week to see if islanders still want the Barclay brothers to be involved in its affairs.
The twins withdrew their £5m-a-year investment after residents failed to back their supporters in Sark’s first full parliamentary elections last year.
This led to the immediate closure of two hotels, a restaurant and other premises.
The representative, Gordon Dawes, said the “door remains open” and the Barclays did not want anyone to suffer hardship.
