Delin hires Round Hill’s Raffi Killian as investments boss

European logistics warehouse specialist Delin Property has appointed Raffi Killian as head of investments to support its expansion into real estate fund management for institutional investors.

Killian (pictured) has built a career in multi-sector real estate investment since 2004 in Europe and the US, principally at Round Hill Capital and Heitman.

He most recently worked at Round Hill as senior vice president, where he worked for more than five years. During his time there, he led its Irish residential property investment strategy, originating a portfolio with a gross asset value of €750m (£645.5m). Prior to this, he was the portfolio manager for a commingled fund, acquiring 10 assets in Europe with a GAV of €250m.

Before Round Hill, Killian spent nearly 12-and-a-half years at Heitman, latterly in a vice president role. At Heitman, he sourced and led the underwriting and due diligence for more than $2bn (£1.7bn) of investment transactions across multiple asset classes. He had joined the investment firm after a nine-month spell at Deloitte, focusing on real estate advisory services.

Delin Property chief executive Rob Reiskin said: “I’ve known Raffi for more than a decade, having worked with him at his two previous employers. He is an excellent investor, experienced in creating an institutional process and skilled at managing people.”

Killian said: “We’ve got ambitious plans to grow assets under management. I’m very much looking forward to playing my part in realising these goals, working closely with the senior team to shape investment strategy and with the on-the-ground teams in sourcing attractive opportunities.”
