Deloitte bolsters real assets advisory team with new hire

Deloitte has appointed Hari Sothinathan as a partner, nearly four years after he left the company to join Gerald Eve as a partner.

In his new role he will focus on providing strategic advice on large-scale development and regeneration projects to both the public and private sectors.

Sothinathan left Gerald Eve in May. Prior to this he spent eight years at Deloitte as a director in development. He was also an associate director at Dartmoor Capital Management, before which he spent four years at Knight Frank.

He also holds a non-executive director position at Peabody.

The news follows a number of senior hires made in Deloitte’s real assets advisory team over the last few months, including Andrew Stanford who joined as a director to lead the residential capital markets team, as EG revealed in April.

Other senior hires include Michelle Kite, who will focus on the structuring, funding and financing of complex development projects and land transactions, and Jane Lees who has joined as a director with a focus on the alternatives market.

Nigel Shilton, managing partner for real assets advisory at Deloitte, said: “Real assets advisory is at the heart of Deloitte’s real estate and infrastructure offering. Following another very successful year, we continue to grow and develop our services to address the increasingly complex needs of our clients.”
