Derby business park signs trio

RTC-Business-Park-Derby-THUMBA hat-trick of office deals totalling almost 30,000 sq ft have been signed at RTC Business Park in Derby, East Midlands.

Hitachi Europe, Serco Group and Network Rail have all secured space following the completion of a comprehensive refurbishment within a number of buildings on the business park, which is located to the east of Derby city centre.

European technology giant Hitachi has taken 4,500 sq ft within Derwent House, outsourcing services company Serco Group has also taken just over 9,000 sq ft within Derwent House, while Network Rail has signed for five of the six floors at Brunel House on the business park, totalling 15,800 sq ft.

LCR, owner of the RTC business park, with Derby city council, is using the allocation of the government’s Regional Growth Fund to invest in the park to create economic growth and sustainable employment.

Nick Hosking, director at Innes England in Derby, said: “Securing the lets just after completion of a full refurbishment demonstrates the increased confidence in Derby’s commercial property market.”

RTC Business Park is one of the principal engineering employment centres in Derby with direct access to the A6 and proximity to the railway station.

Around 17,800 sq ft of refurbished space remains available within Kelvin House.

Innes England is letting agent.
