Derelict airfield to be renovated as aircraft museum

A derelict airfield in Yatesbury, Wiltshire, is to be renovated as a museum and airfield for vintage aircraft.

Yatesbury Camp is one of the few surviving First World War airfields, but its Grade II listed buildings have long been in disrepair. In the Second World War, Dambusters hero Guy Gibson trained at the airfield.

The new owner is Jamal Khanfer, a Jordanian engineer and aviation enthusiast based in Newbury, Berkshire.
