A home costing £1m or more is being sold in Britain every 27 minutes, research reveals today.
With 53 selling every day, it is the fastest rate at which properties with a price tag of £1m-plus have been sold in this country, according to the report from Savills, the estate agent, which looked at each year’s data since 2006.
The number of homes sold for a seven-figure sum, or more, has nearly doubled from 10,100 in 2006 to 19,300 last year, Savills found.
