Desigual set to take Oxford Street Disney store

Spanish retailer Desigual is in pole position to sign for Disney Store’s shop at 360 Oxford Street, W1.

The rent is expected to set a new benchmark for Oxford Street.

The 6,700 sq ft shop has attracted interest from a number of retailers, thought to include phone chain O2, fashion retailer Mango and shoe brand Aldo.

Last month, Disney Store took an assignment of fashion retailer Mexx’s lease at 350 Oxford Street. At 15,000 sq ft, the shop is more than double that of its current store.

It has surrendered the lease on its store at 360 Oxford Street to the landlord, Prupim.

CBRE is advising Prupim.
