Desire by Debenhams has taken one of four new units being developed at Hampshire’s Fareham shopping centre.

Developers, Dominion Corporate Trustees and Dominion Trust are investing a total of £10m to rejuvenate the scheme, with work due to start this spring.

Desire will take a 20,000 sq ft store over two levels due to open in spring 2008.

The redevelopment also includes three further units varying in size from 1,000 sq ft up to 6,000 sq ft being marketed in spring 2007.

Nelson Bakewell acted on behalf of Fareham shopping centre, with Lunson Mitchenall acting on behalf of Debenhams.
