Desmond Bloom leaves Hemisphere Properties

Desmond Bloom has left his most recent venture in property, Hemisphere Properties.

In a statement, the company confirmed today that Bloom and Ivan Minter are no longer directors of the company with effect from 10 June.

Bloom, a boxer-turned-property entrepreneur, has also previously been a chairman of Eurocity Properties, chairman and managing director of electrical retailer Manx Overseas and chairman and chief executive of Premier Land.

In June last year, Hemisphere had posted a £553,000 loss for the half year to 31 March.

In its statement, the company said it expected “to conclude matters satisfactorily regarding the company’s working capital position and to announce the interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2004 in the near future following which the suspension of the company’s trading on AIM is expected to be lifted”.
