Northern & Shell Investments No 2, a property subsidiary of media tycoon Richard Desmond’s Northern & Shell Media Group, has submitted plans for the redevelopment of Westferry Printworks, E14.The 15-acre site is the former home of Desmond’s Daily Express and Daily Star newspapers.
The PLP Architecture-designed plans for the £500m scheme include 737 homes – 70 of which will be affordable – across several buildings of between four and 30 storeys, as well as a school, shops and offices. It is being undertaken with development partner London & Regional.
