Deutsche Bank could move half of staff out of NYC

Deutsche Bank could move half of its New York staff to lower cost areas of the country.

The lender has said that as many as half of its 4,600 personnel based in Manhattan could be relocated within five years to “smaller hubs and pockets”.

Deutsche is next year due to relocate its Manhattan staff to a 1m sq ft building at Columbus Circle, near Central Park, with workspaces for 4,200 people.

The new building is cheaper than Deutsche’s existing offices at 60 Wall Street.
