Deutsche Bank thinks big in the City

Britain’s largest property developer has secured revised planning permission for a new London headquarters for Deutsche Bank.

Land Securities said that it had the green light for a 564,000 sq ft scheme at 21 Moorfields, EC2.

The developer first agreed a deal with Deutsche Bank last July, when the German group agreed to occupy a minimum of 469,000 sq ft of space on a 25-year lease. The office is due to be completed by November 2021.

Chris Hayward, planning and transportation committee chairman at the City of London Corporation, said the development fitted in well with the City’s ambitions for growth.
