Shannon Conway and Mike Nicholson have started a build-to-rent residential development venture, Picture This.
They have chosen Manchester for the company’s headquarters, with the ambition of creating 10 Picture This developments over the next decade.
Picture This is targeting sites with 250-400 homes and has signed its first joint venture partner with 250 homes in the pipeline.
Conway was the residential director at BTR property developer Glenbrook, prior to which she was the lead director of residential advisory at JLL (North).
Nicholson was previously a director at JLL, prior to which he was a director at Roger Hannah.
Conway said: “We have a clear vision for our business – it is all about supporting the things that matter to people; low-carbon design, delivering welcoming, age-inclusive homes designed to promote health and happiness, and standing beside local businesses and creatives, bringing community to the fore.
“We plan to retain and operate Picture This developments, ensuring we are invested in the long-term success of the communities we help create.”
Nicholson said: “We have exciting and ambitious growth plans, so as well as taking the lead on our own sites and opportunities, we are keen to partner with like-minded developers and landowners on larger-scale, mixed-use developments.”
