Hammerson and Standard Life have ditched plans for a controversial extension of Brent Cross in favour of something more comprehensive.
It has decided on a 1m sq ft (92,900 sq m) scheme that will include homes, a hotel, bars and restaurants and more shops.
Their plans will nearly quadruple the amount of fresh development proposed for the north London shopping centre.
They will submit their new proposals to Barnet council within the next six months.
