Why The proposed 462,863 sq ft (43,000m2) scheme, which covers three city blocks located in a prime location on Leningradsky Prospect, comprises five office buildings, ranging from six to 22 storeys. They share a common retail and entertainment podium on the first, second and third floors, bridging the existing and planned streets, and are next to Belorouskii Plaza train station, one of the city’s major transportation hubs. Office space totals 215,285 sq ft (200,000m2), with retail and entertainment space totalling 861,141 sq ft (80,000m2).

Why The £120m development will comprise 44 storeys, 10 of which will be commercial space – 158,000 sq ft (14,680m2). It will be 430 ft tall, with 237 residential apartments and 13,000 sq ft (1,200m2) of retail space. The site is a key part of Manchester city council’s Piccadilly Partnership Gateway, and work is due to start next month, and finish in 2009.

Why The 48-floor building will rise to 736 ft (224m) and provide 601,400 sq ft (55,870m2) of office space in the City. The public space at the base of the building will feature mature trees and a range of retail and amenity space.
