Tesco has been granted planning permission to build two stores in Derbyshire.
In Allenton, near Derby city centre, Tesco will develop a 92,000 sq ft store. The retailer also has consent for a 23,000 sq ft store close to the canal in Sandiacre. The scheme (pictured) will also comprise 6,200 sq ft of offices.
Elsewhere in Derby, the council has recommended approval for the first 15-acre phase redevelopment of the Derby Royal Infirmary site.
The plans, which are being progressed by the NHS, include a 60,000 sq ft Morrisons supermarket, 400 homes, a hotel and 30,000 sq ft of offices.
