Development sites set to attract keen bidding

Development sites in sought-after parts of Solihull are expected to attract keen bidding at Bond Wolfe’s February auction.

The first opportunity is a plot of land off Grendon Road, a residential cul-de-sac about 2.5 miles north-west of Solihull town centre, which is listed with a guide price of £75,000-£100,000.

The freehold site extends to about 0.2 acres.

Another opportunity is a three-bedroomed, detached house at 26 Binton Road in Shirley, which has a guide price of £295,000-plus. The vacant and freehold property has space at the side and rear that could make it suitable for an extension, subject to planning permission.

It is located a short distance from the Stratford Road which provides a range of restaurants, shops and supermarkets.

Also up for auction is a sports bar premises in Walsall (pictured). Most recently operated as Bar Sports, the Bridge Street premises were closed down over Christmas.

James Mattin, managing director agency, said: “The premises have traded as a popular bar and restaurant for more than a quarter of a century on a busy retail parade in the heart of Walsall. We are confident a new owner will want to secure this site and continue with a similar business.”

The 7,300 sq ft property comprises the first and second floors of Unit 1, Bridge House, 47-55 Bridge Street and is listed for sale with a guide price of £275,000-plus.

The auction will be live-streamed via Bond Wolfe’s website on 9 February, with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet.
