Development Securities and Prorsus have revealed detailed plans for the next 1.1m sq ft phase of Oxfordshire’s Harwell Campus.
The joint venture, which is working alongside public sector partners the Science & Technology Facilities Council and UK Atomic Energy Authority, is planning a 250,000 sq ft astronautical cluster, a 200,000 sq ft university research and development quarter and a 1,400-home residential quarter.
Plans for a 500,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme on 25 acres of the 710-acre site have already been submitted.
In total the campus, home to the UK’s International Space Innovation Centre, has the potential for as much as 4m
sq ft aimed at global high-tech industries.
