DFS snaps up Teesland Doncaster distribution unit

Furniture giant DFS is to take Teesland Development’s speculative 120,000 sq ft (11,150 sq m) unit at Redhouse Interchange, near Doncaster, in a £5.6m deal.

The distribution unit, which includes 6,000 sq ft of office space alongside a further four acres, is will be used by DFS as a head office complex.

The deal is a coup for joint venture partners Teesland and Clugston Estates, who signed the first tenant on the 81ha (200-acre) greenfield site in July.

Teesland’s David Wells said: “This is an excellent deal for Redhouse and shows we are on our way.”

The developers were advised by DTZ Debenham Tie Leung. Andrew Mills acted for DFS.
