DFS takes 120,000 sq ft at Yorkshire warehouse park

DFS Furniture has taken 120,000 sq ft (11,148 sq m) at the 81ha (200-acre) Redhouse Interchange in Yorkshire.

Redhouse Projects, a joint venture between Teesland and Clugston, let the space to the upholstery company for £5.5m on a 250-year lease.

DFS, which showed a profit of over £50m this year, has also bought four acres on the site for future expansion.

The site, situated at J38 of the A1(M), is one of the largest greenfield sites with planning consent in England, with permission for 2m sq ft of warehouse and distribution space.
