DFS Furniture has begun building new stores in Swansea, Wales and Romford, in Essex.
The new outlets will open in the next financial year along with new outlets in Edinburgh and Glasgow, in Scotland and Liverpool in the north-west.
It has also secured permission to build a new outlet in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
