Matt Foley has been appointed to head two major real estate programmes at the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.
Foley will assume responsibility for the Next Generation Estates Contracts programme and Project Hestia from 19 July.
The projects are centred around securing the most cost-effective commercial deals for property development in the estate, and management and maintenance of developed assets.
Foley, who has 12 years’ experience within defence infrastructure, replaces Steve Rice, who is retiring from the civil service.
“NGEC and Hestia are key elements of the DIO transformation journey, and will be of growing significance for DIO and estate users over the next few years. The programme team has developed a reputation for openness and transparency, and an ability to work through challenging and ever-changing circumstances, so I am excited about the opportunity to build on this great work,” said Foley.
