Insurance company Direct Line has started a search for up to 5,574 sq m (60,000 sq ft) of offices in Birmingham city centre.
The company has appointed Hertfordshire-based Allen Associates to look for sites in central Birmingham. However, David Allen of Allen Associates said no firm decision had been made to relocate from Direct Line’s current offices: “The decision has not been made yet. It is only a potential requirement.” He added that sites outside the city centre would also be considered.
Direct Line currently holds a sub-lease at 52-53 Colmore Row from Wragge & Co but the solicitor is thought to be looking to reoccupy the space when the lease expires in just over two years time.
