Distancing makes drive-ins this summer’s big trend

Drive-in cinema is set to be all the rage this summer as social distancing makes the quintessentially American experience a must for health-conscious Brits.

The Luna Drive In Cinema has screenings planned at Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle, Knebworth House and Allianz Park throughout next month, offering films such as Jurassic Park, The Goonies and Dirty Dancing.

Several shows have already sold out. Another company, The Drive In, is hosting screenings in Enfield, north London.

The English National Opera has also announced that it is planning the world’s first drive-in opera performances for September in the grounds of Alexandra Palace, north London.
