DJD to market 136-acre Lancashire site

The Manchester branch of Drivers Jonas Deloitte has been instructed by the North West Young Peoples Development Trust to dispose of the 136-acre Fylde Community College site in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire.

The property was acquired by the trust in 1904 and until recently was used by Lancashire county council to deliver education services and as a community home. The site is now vacant.

Although it is located in the green belt, the trust secured outline planning permission in October 2010 for a residential development on approximately 10 acres of the site where the majority of previous buildings had been located.

Hannah Thorne, assistant director from Drivers Jonas Deloitte in Manchester, said: “The scenic location and sheer size of the site makes this a rare residential development opportunity, which is significantly de-risked with the outline planning consent already in place.”
