The creators of the Eden Project in Cornwall and the London Eye big wheel have drawn up proposals to turn the Millennium Dome into a model of green regeneration, with tropical flowers, fruit and vines blooming in rich Cornish soil.
Tim Smit, the entrepreneur behind the Eden project, and London eye architect Marks Barfield also envisage thousands of new homes in 50-storey residential towers, and green landscaping across the site.
