Dominus has appointed agents to secure a forward-funding partner for its £200m Manchester student accommodation scheme.
It has tasked Savills and Gerald Eve with finding a partner for the 1,014-bed Medlock Tower development, which will be delivered by Dominus and its joint venture partner Whitbread.
The scheme, which also includes around 387,500 sq ft of office space, will replace an existing Premier Inn hotel.
The office element will have capacity for 2,200 people.
Lizzie Beagley, director of Savills’ operational capital markets team, said: “We are very excited to take on this high-profile forward-funding instruction for Dominus, which will deliver high-quality student accommodation to a significantly undersupplied city.”
Jason Nearchou, partner at Gerald Eve, added: “This scheme will deliver the much-needed high-quality accommodation that students expect in today’s market, while focusing on the ESG and building standards required by global capital.”
