Liberty International chairman Donald Gordon has bought a further 74,103 shares in the company at 111.73 South African rand per share, taking his stake to 38.38m shares, or 11.93%.
Last Friday Liberty, Britain's biggest shopping centre owner, reported an encouraging start to the year and said that last week's UK budget would only have a limited impact on its business.
Gordon is retiring from the company as chairman in June.Liberty shares closed on Monday up 5p on the day at 965p.
