Douglas & Gordon has appointed Brian Smith as its new financial director.
Smith joins the agency from a senior role at Tesco and is the first major hire by D&G’s new chief executive James Evans. Previous to his time at Tesco Smith worked for TUI and Everest.
In his new role Smith will concentrate on the simplification of the business and increasing technological innovation. He will head a team of 14 people and report directly to Evans.
Evans said: “Brian understands finance, IT, sales, operations and customer service in highly competitive industries.”
