Liverpool-based developer Downing is continuing its expansion into the London student housing market with the purchase of a second site in the city.
It has bought a 0.56-acre plot on Victoria Road, Acton, W3, from Goldcrest Land, where it plans a £25m, 184-bed scheme.
Last year, Downing made its mark in London by submitting plans for a 32-storey student scheme in Vauxhall, SW8. It has also agreed to buy land at Brookgate’s CB1 development in Cambridge, on which it hopes to deliver a £65m, 586-bed scheme.
Knight Frank advised Goldcrest; Bidwells advised Brookgate; Downing was unrepresented.
