Credit Suisse has appointed Steffen Doyle as managing director and co-head of its EMEA Real Estate group.
Doyle joins the business from Jefferies International where he had been co-head of the European real estate, lodging and gaming team. Prior to this he was with Bank of America Merrill Lynch for nine years. He will work alongside Jaime Riera at the London office and will start on 1 June.
Doyle’s is the second senior departure from Jefferies’s real estate business after Simon Hampton left to join PwC in late 2014.
The appointment follows the restructuring of Credit Suisse as part of a strategic review of October 2015, which saw the creation of an investment banking and capital markets division.
Wences Bunge, who had been a managing director in the real estate banking group, has moved on to become head of the investment banking department in Iberia. He will also continue to be the global co-head of the real estate group alongside Paul Whyte.
