DRPH picks up Manchester office market pace

Manchester-based developer DRPH is planning a 1,580 sq m (17,000 sq ft) refurbishment at Norwich Union House, 73-79 King Street, Manchester.

The refurbishment at the prime King Street address – the ground floor of which is let to licensed operator All Bar One – signals a modest quickening of the pace in the under-supplied city centre office market.

The building is occupied by Norwich Union. Neil Mort at joint letting agent Knight Frank said: “Norwich Union have a break in their lease, which they are exercising. We expect refurbishment to be complete by this time next year.”

Quoting rents are likely to be between £172 to182 per sq m (£16 to17 per sq ft). Joint letting agents are Lambert Smith Hampton.
