Drum Property Group has lodged proposals for its first major residential scheme in Leeds.
The developer is looking to regenerate the existing site of Evolution House on Springwell Road in the northern part of Holbeck.
The proposed residential-led development, called Whitehall Sidings, comprises 391 build-to-rent flats varying between one, two and three bedrooms. It will also have commercial space on the ground floor and surrounding recreation space.
Graeme Bone, group managing director of Drum, said: “Whitehall Sidings has the potential to repurpose an urban brownfield site and deliver a diverse mix of homes, complemented with extensive indoor and outdoor amenity.
“The new community at Whitehall Sidings will expand the residential neighbourhood along Springwell Road, while helping provide much-needed residential accommodation within Holbeck.”
Drum bought the site last year and, subject to planning consents, expects to start work on site in early 2025.
