Drum plans distillery at Glasgow’s Pacific Quay

Drum Property Group has submitted £30m plans for the first phases of Glasgow’s Pacific Quay on the city’s waterfront that include a £10m whiskey distillery.

Plans for the 7.5 acre site include homes, offices and leisure, alongside the Douglas Laing & Co distillery.

Drum is working with Scottish Enterprise to develop the site on the Canting Basin of the former Prince’s Dock.

Future phases planned will deliver a scheme with an end value of close to £70m including 20,000 sq ft of offices, 60 homes, retail and leisure facilities.

Formerly part of the commercial dock operated by Clyde Port Authority, Pacific Quay is now home to the headquarters of BBC Scotland and STV, and sits adjacent to the SSE Hydro and the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.
