DTZ IM taps into Stockwell

The Type Museum’s home in Stockwell, SW9, has been sold to DTZ Investment Management.

It paid Charterhouse £3m for 14,455 sq ft 100 Hackford Road , reflecting a circa sub 4% yield.

Home to some of the world’s best typographic collections, the building is let to the Type Museum at a passing rent of £120,000 pa on a 75-year lease expiring 2075.

Felix Fiennes, head of central London lease advisory at Colliers International, which advised DTZ IM, said: “Hackford Road is currently let off a low rent, and is subject to five-yearly rent reviews to an open market rent and as a consequence has excellent prospects for both rental and capital growth.”

The vendor was not represented.
