DTZ Investors reveals Manchester Printworks revamp

Manchester’s Printworks leisure scheme has been given a £21m refurbishment by DTZ Investors.

The transformation of the building includes adding a 10,764 sq ft digital ceiling screen, which the developer claims to be the largest in Europe, alongside a giant interactive gaming screen, newly designed gateway entrances and public realm upgrades.

Ben Haller from DTZ Investors said: “DTZ Investors is responding to the changes seen in the way consumers spend their leisure time and the high expectations placed on such entertainment destinations.

“Advancements in technology have enabled us to innovate and strengthen the Printworks brand to ensure it remains at the forefront of UK leisure.”

The refurbishment has been designed by Glasgow based architect CDA. The scheme, which is managed by Cushman & Wakefield, remained open throughout the refurbishment.

Since acquiring the site in 2017, DTZ Investors has retained Vue as its flagship cinema on a 20-year term. New tenants have also been secured including Tenpin, Treetop Golf and Boom Battle Bar, plus a deal has been signed with Spider Entertainment for a new immersive concept.
