DTZ launches FM service for SMEs

DTZ has launched a facilities management service aimed at small- to medium-sized businesses.

The move comes four months after Australian FM giant UGL acquired the company for £77.5m.

The new service – Compact FM – will provide FM health checks, inspections, access to approved suppliers, technical bulletins, flexible fee plans and attendance to DTZ technical update events for SME clients in order to help them keep up with statutory requirements and best practice.

Clive Chippindale, a director in DTZ’s facilities management team, said: “Not all businesses find it commercially viable to employ a facilities manager which can often lead to exposure of occupational risk and liabilities.

“Compact FM is designed for such businesses which don’t have a dedicated FM person but which still carry the liabilities for health and safety and other occupational risks.”
