DTZ Pieda to advise South West RDA

DTZ Pieda Consulting has been appointed to advise the new South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) as it formulates its rural policy for the region stretching from Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Dorset, to Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

According to a spokeswoman from DTZ Pieda, it will look at the prospects for rural areas in the South West and devise policy options for the RDA’s board.

Chris Cobbold, director with DTZ Pieda, said: “This is a significant study for an important new organisation that is charged with the considerable objective of generating investment in the South West. Our work will be of vital importance in helping the SWRDA to understand its rural areas and to formulate clear strategic policies for management and development.”

DTZ Pieda’s study of the region will be used to underpin its case for its continued receipt of European funding and provide an input into the preparation of the government’ new Rural White Paper.

The SWRDA is the single successor to a number of South West development organisations.
