Dublin council plans to redevelop St Michael’s Estate site

Dublin City Council plans to redevelop the former St Michael’s Estate in Dublin into a €125m (£109m) mixed-use scheme, including 578 homes.

The proposal is part of the council’s affordable housing initiative and will include a mix of studio flats, and one-, two- and three-bedroom homes.

Dublin City Council’s 10-acre masterplan for the site on Emmet Road also includes a supermarket, library, children’s play area, 6,100 sq ft of retail space and 3,100 sq ft of restaurant/cafe space. The development spans buildings of between three and seven storeys.
