Office take-up in Dublin saw staggering growth in the first half of the year, with volumes up by 68% on the first six months of 2016.
More than 1.6m sq ft of office space was let in the Irish capital, rising from 964,888 sq ft in H1 2016, according to CBRE Ireland.
Some 81 office lettings were signed in the second quarter, more than double the number signed in the first three months of the year.
The biggest lettings signed in the past quarter include 188,250 sq ft at The Beckett building in Dublin 3 and 151,588 sq ft at Black H, Central Park in the south suburbs.
Alan Moran, director in the offices team at CBRE, said: “To have more than 150,000 sq m (1.6m sq ft) let at the midyear point is an exceptional performance, considering it is almost 75% higher than the annual average take-up at the midyear point for the previous five years and 68% higher than H1 take-up in 2016.”
