One of Dublin’s historic venues was filled with banter and the chatter of recovery-defining deals when Estates Gazette took Question Time to the city for the first time.
Close to 200 property movers and shakers descended on the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland on the evening of 22 May for a debate and the opportunity to meet industry peers. Delegates converged in the elaborately decorated boardroom at the ?St Stephen’s Green venue, occupied by the nationalist countess Constance Markievicz during the Easter Rising of 1916. A talking point of the evening was the bullet hole preserved in the door as evidence of the uprising.
The big turnout was a stunning response to EG’s first overseas Question Time, whose panel featured Pat Gunne of Green REIT, Mary Birmingham of Nama, John McCartney of Savills, and Paul O’Donnell of the Bank of Ireland. The debate was chaired by EG editor Damian Wild.
