The Prince of Wales plans to double the size of one of Britain’s few remaining rainforests by the year 2040.
The partnership between the Duchy of Cornwall and Natural England will focus on the three-hectare Wistman’s Wood on Dartmoor, which is thought to be the remnants of a forest that covered much of the national park before Mesolithic hunter-gatherers cleared the area in about 5000BC.
