Mark Glatman’s Abstract Securities has announced plans for a 75,000 sq ft supermarket scheme in Dudley town centre.
Cavendish Quarter Properties, a subsidiary of Abstract, is developing the supermarket in conjunction with Dudley council.
In addition to its ownership of Cavendish House in Dudley, CQP has confirmed today that it has entered into a number of legal agreements to acquire surrounding land to enable the development to take place.
Abstract’s development director, Christopher McPherson, said: “We have been a landowner in Dudley for a several years and we have considered various options for Cavendish House over this period. We are at the early stages of discussions with a number of major supermarket retailers, and we have already secured the majority of land required which is not already in the ownership of ourselves or the local authority.”
