Duke Street Capital has confirmed its interest in buying Great Mills from RMC.
RMC plans to dispose of non-core businesses, of which Great Mills’ 95 do-it-yourself stores form a part.
Duke Street is the private equity company behind Focus Do-It-All. The Great Mills outlets, which are largely in the south-east are thought to be a good geographical fit. Other potential buyers could include Kingfisher and HomeDepot, a US company keen to get a foothold in the UK.
