Dunmoore raises a glass to Billingshurst beverage supplier lettings

Dunmoore has secured a duo of alcohol distributors as tenants at its 21-acre industrial and office development in Billingshurst, West Sussex.

Craft beer distributor Pig’s Ears Beer has signed a 10-year lease for 12,647 sq ft of warehouse and trade counter space in the second phase of development.

International Diplomatic Supplies has inked a 10-year lease with a break option at year five for a 9,331 sq ft warehouse and office facility.

Construction of the second phase, which will provide 250,000 sq ft of industrial and business space, began in the early part of last year after Dunmoore signed a forward-funding agreement with CBRE Investment Management for the development of a Lidl supermarket.

Lidl opened at the end of last year and sits alongside a petrol station, let to Rontec, and a Costa drive-thru, which will complete in the first quarter of this year.

The first phase of development, Billingshurst Trade Park, which is let to a number of national and regional trade operators, including Screwfix, Howdens and Toolstation, was sold to Aegon Asset Management in January last year.

Jeff Hobby, chief executive of Dunmoore, said Pig’s Ears Beers and International Diplomatic Supplies are “exactly the types of local, growing businesses we are looking to attract to the development”.

He added: “Having disposed of the trade park last year, our attention has now moved towards the second phase of the development.

“There is a real lack of quality business space in the local area, and, despite the uncertain economic climate, there are still good levels of occupier demand. We are in advanced discussions with a number of other occupiers to prelet space”.

DTRE, SHW and Ogle Property are the joint letting agents.
