Logistics specialist Verdion has leased a further 174,381 sq ft at its iPort logistics hub in Doncaster to homeware retailer Dusk.
Dusk has taken iP2f, which includes a 169,317 sq ft warehouse as well as offices and welfare space. It began occupying the adjacent 119,060 sq ft iP2g facility in 2021.
Further buildings of up to 330,000 sq ft at the iPort site, which spans 800 acres, have been developed speculatively and are available for immediate occupation. They are designed to EPC A and BREEAM Very Good ratings.
The final phases of development – two further buildings measuring 323,500 sq ft and 846,250 sq ft – are available on a build-to-suit basis with development-ready sites.
Jamie Young, development surveyor at Verdion, said: “Dusk’s decision to increase its space at iPort is great news. Creating a logistics hub where occupiers can easily expand as their businesses grow has been part of our vision from the start and our asset and facilities management teams work closely with tenants to understand their requirements.
“This is the third company based here that has taken further space. At the same time, we remain focused on bringing new names to Doncaster, with immediate opportunities and build-to-suit capacity.”
The news comes after Verdion agreed a new operator contract with transport and logistics provider Medlog for its on-site rail freight terminal in December last year.
Verdion is now developing the facility’s second phase, which will double its size and capacity by the end of this year.
Gent Visick, CBRE and Colliers are the retained leasing agents for iPort. Blacks Solicitors advised Dusk.
