Bass Hotels & Resorts has appointed Kay Dymock as senior vice president of development and investment for Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA).
Dymock will have direct responsibility for the expansion of Bass’ four hotel brands across the region – Inter-Continental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Express by Holiday Inn. According to David Bland, Bass Hotels & Resorts’ managing director EMEA, the group sees the potential to double growth and room numbers across the region in five years.
She joins Bass Hotels from Strategic Hotel Capital where she had worked as international managing director since 1998, responsible for hotel investment for the company’s European operation. Prior to that, she worked with Jones Lang Wootton (now Jones Lang LaSalle) for 16 years in Europe and Australasia.
Dymock has worked on numerous property acquisitions, including the purchase of the Hotel Inter-Continental Prague and the development of the Hotel Inter-Continental Sydney. She also has considerable knowledge of management contracts and was involved in negotiations for the Holiday Inn Cairns and Holiday Inn Brisbane.
